CataNet: Predicting Remaining Cataract Surgery Duration
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cataract surgery is a sight saving that performed over 10 million times each year around the world. With such large demand, ability to organize surgical wards and operating rooms efficiently critical delivery this therapy in routine clinical care. In context, estimating remaining duration (RSD) during procedures one way help streamline patient throughput workflows. To end, we propose CataNet, method for cataract surgeries predicts real time RSD jointly with two influential elements: surgeon’s experience, current phase of surgery. We compare CataNet state-of-the-art estimation methods, showing it outperforms them even when experience are not considered. investigate improvement show significant contributor integrate elapsed into CataNet’s feature extractor.

Predicting Surgery Duration with Neural Heteroscedastic Regression
Scheduling surgeries is a challenging task due to the fundamental uncertainty of the clinical environment, as well as the risks and costs associated with underand over-booking. We investigate neural regression algorithms to estimate the parameters of surgery case durations, focusing on the issue of heteroscedasticity. We seek to simultaneously estimate the duration of each surgery, as well as a...
متن کاملA novel index for predicting macular thickening after cataract surgery.
PURPOSE In this study, we tried to investigate weather or not the preoperative anterior chamber depth, the lens thickness (LT) and the relation between these variables by the ratio (K) of the distance from the corneal peak to the posterior side of the lens (A) (K = A/LT) could be predictive for a surgically induced foveal thickening following uneventful cataract surgery in normal, emmetropic ey...

PURPOSE To propose a comprehensive classification of anisometropia, a method to calculate the theoretical related aniseikonia (objective aniseikonia) and a purpose-designed eikonometer to measure aniseikonia psychophysically (subjective aniseikonia). SETTING University Hospital Antwerp, Department of Ophthalmology, Edegem, Belgium. METHODS The occurrence of anisometropia was evaluated in 26...

EXTRACTION of the opaque intra-ocular lens has always been a favourite and important eye operation. The dexterity and the instruments needed for the removal of the cataractous lens have attracted the interest of ophthalmologists and have called forth a vast literature on the various methods of miraculously restoring the power of sight to the blind.' Operating Chair.-One of the fundamental condi...
